Ok

I take a lot of pride in helping the environment where I can. I recycle almost religiously, I try to use as little as paper as possible by drawing on both sides when I can, I have taken recyclable cans and bottles out of the trash when people threw them in there absent minded, I wash the jars including peanut butter jars and I'm severely allergic to nuts, and I never forget to put the recycling bin outside and then take it back in. However, I begin to wonder if the people who start preaching going green really work as hard as they expect people like me to because recently, when I put the recycling out, the recycling guys didn't take it. Why? Because my bin was positing wrong.... yeah, you heard me right. It was positioned wrong and so they wouldn't take it. It was right there on the curb and there's a guy who comes out of the truck to take the bin yet they wouldn't take mine simply because it wasn't positioned right. I'm starting to have a little more respect for garbage men who don't pay no mind which way the bin is facing as long as your trash is on the curb. Does anyone else here think it's outrageous that the recycling guys wouldn't take the darn bin even though there's guy that comes out anyway? That sounds lazy and hypocritical if you ask me. They expect everyone to keep track of what they throw out, but the fact that you don't position the bin facing them is reason enough for them to not take it?! Would they like me to put a ribbon to close the bags next time? I'm starting to see why people get pissed off when the overly preachy environmental activists get in their faces. It's because underneath it all, they're not willing to help all that much either (this is not directed at the environmental activists who actually get up off their asses and practice what they preach). What the hell am I going to do now with two an half bags of recycling for the rest of the week?

By the way, I will try to get some pages up this week. It might help alleviate some stress and anger.
